Understanding the terminology

  • Detox: Free your body from addictive chemicals in a safe setting. You will be cared for during the detox process. 
  • Residential inpatient treatment: Staying in a care facility, you’ll be in a healthy and safe environment for healing. 
  • Substance use disorder outpatient: Integrate recovery into your daily life. With an outpatient program, you can continue to work and live at home while you develop the skills to free yourself from mood-altering substances. 
  • Mental health outpatient: Substance use and mental illness are often linked. The key to staying sober is to treat both. Receive holistic treatment to help you achieve balance. 
  • Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) which is sometimes also called Medication-assisted treatment (MAT): When opioid addiction becomes all-consuming, medications can help you take control of your life again. This outpatient program will give you the support you need.
  • Family therapy: Reconnect with family and explore family dynamics in guided sessions in a safe environment.
